Strange Lines and Distances. 16mm/HD. 5.1. Two channel installation. 25 minutes. 2013.

Strange Lines and Distances is a two-channel audio-visual installation inspired by Marconi’s belief that sound waves never die, but diminish becoming incrementally fainter over time. He believed that with an adequately sensitive receiver, one could listen to the echoes of the past.

The installation documents the original transmission sites in Poldhu Cornwall and St. Johns NFLD through a collection of site-specific radio recordings and cinematography.
